At present, the use of U disk is very common, people often use U disk to backup, carry and transfer files. However, if you forget to perform the uninstall operation before unplugging the USB disk from the USB port, or if the uninstall operation is incomplete, or if you directly pull the USB disk out of the USB port due to misuse, it may cause the USB disk Damage, sometimes even cause the computer to not recognize the U disk. If you have no previous experience in dealing with this situation, most of you will think that the U disk is no longer usable and it should be thrown into the trash, but this is a pity.
Is there a way to restore the function of the U disk? The answer is yes, you can follow the steps below:
Open the control panel, management tools, computer management, storage, and disk management in turn, and the interface as shown in the figure will appear. Right-click on the text "disk 1", select "initialize disk", and click "OK" directly. After the initialization is complete, the status of the USB flash drive becomes the "online" status.
Note that the lock of the U disk must be open at this time, otherwise the following prompt will appear: "Because the media is write-protected, the required operation cannot be completed.
Right-click on the white box on the right, select "New Disk Partition", enter the New Disk Partition Wizard, directly click Next, select the partition type (primary disk partition, extended disk partition or logical drive) can. (Note: The following dialog boxes will appear in sequence, so their screen copy will not be given here.)
Next step-select the disk space capacity: generally use the default size. Next step-assign a drive letter (or not).
Next step-select "Format this disk partition according to the following settings" to set the format (file system type, allocation unit size, volume label) (without selecting quick format). Next step-Successful completion of formatting wizard. Click Finish and wait for the formatting to complete. After formatting is completed, the status of the USB flash drive is displayed as "Good condition", that is, you are done.
This kind of repair method can generally restore the U disk. However, this repair method also has a drawback, that is, the original data on the U disk cannot be restored (all data is lost! !!). If the original data on the U disk is not very important, this method is more used.
